What Is Screen and Recoat?
Screen and recoat is the most affordable way to refresh your hardwood floors. Instead of a full sand-and-refinish, we lightly abrade the existing finish surface and apply one or two fresh coats of finish. The result: restored shine, added protection, and a floor that looks years younger — typically completed in one day.
When Screen and Recoat Is the Right Choice
Screen and recoat works best when:
- Your floors look dull or have lost their shine
- There are light surface scratches but no deep gouges or bare wood
- The existing finish is in good condition overall
- You want to extend the life of your floors between full refinishes
If your floors have deep scratches, pet stains penetrating the wood, or bare spots, a full refinish is the better option. Learn about our refinishing service.
